Incorrect Liberal Assumptions Make Us All Poorer

Do not think about, write about or deal with  human behavior without determining the effects of incentives.

It’s a lovely day where I live, if it were the 15th of October. This must be the start of the Global Warming Apocalypse the Elite have been warning about as temperatures cool.

Wherein we see, once again, the reaffirmation of the notion that liberal politicians do not have any notion about wealth creation. They know about confiscation, retention of a nice amount for themselves and their friends and redistribution of the rest to those likely to vote for them, but nothing about where wealth comes from, probably because they’ve never created any.

Eliminating Debt by Embracing Fracking
Heidi Parson

Fracking is the process of drilling down into the earth to get oil or natural gas. Then, they push into the earth pressurized water and sand, and a tiny amount of chemicals (the same chemicals, by the way, found in ice cream).   This process keeps the cracks in the shale rock, which is a very tight formation, to remain open, thus allowing the oil and natural gas to seep out. The frack job itself lasts only two or three days. Yet, the oil and natural gas comes up for nearly thirty years! Amazing, isn’t it?

The benefits of fracking largely outweigh the risks. Environmentalists complain that fracking causes continual earthquakes. The minor disturbances that may occur during the fracking process would be the equivalent to a truck driving past your home. Ask an environmentalist if we should we ban every form of energy that may cause an induced seismic event. Then, make the point that the largest geothermal plant on the earth, the geysers in Northern California, causes constant earthquakes.   Funny how environmentalist will never admit it, though.

God has provided us with a literal goldmine of natural resources to use. Why are we so afraid to reap the harvest? As shown in the documentary, “FrackNation”, the state of California alone has enough shale oil to pay off our national debt. Can you imagine? The jobs that would be created from frack jobs like the Keystone Pipeline would drastically chip away at the high unemployment rate.

The Columbus Dispatch reported that a new annual government report released this week reveals (that, for the first time in a long while) consumer spending on a state-by-state basis showed an economic boom for North Dakota. They reported, “The changes in spending patterns in North Dakota have been particularly dramatic. Its per-capita spending in 2007, before the recession began, was $32,780. That ranked it 24th among states. By 2012, the figure was $44,029, fourth-highest nationwide. North Dakota has boomed in large part because of a breakthrough drilling technique, known as fracking, that has unlocked vast oil and gas reserves. The state’s per-person income soared 16.2 percent, before inflation, from 2011 to 2012 — by far the most for any state.”

We can clearly see that the states that have lifted bans and heavy regulations off of fracking are enjoying an economic boom. Most states would love to see that kind of boom in their economy!

Democrats claim that Republicans are too “close-minded” and not “innovative” thinkers. However, the Republican Party is the one who supports energy independence from foreign oil. We support innovative ideas such as fracking to collect our abundant, natural resources in order to eliminate debt and provide affordable fuel and energy to Americans. Also, we support creating thousands of jobs by fracking.

Why wouldn’t President Obama want our country to be debt-free and independent from foreign oil? One can only assume that it is rooted in his anti-colonialist viewpoints. If America became abundantly wealthy and independent, as we once were, we would be superior on the world’s stage yet again. Obama doesn’t want this. Obama wants us to be on a level playing field with the rest of the world…hence his inaction on the Keystone Pipeline. President Obama has stated that he will make energy prices so expensive that it will force Americans to seek “green” alternatives. First, we cannot afford these so-called “green” alternatives. Second, it is not within the scope of his power to force people to buy something. The free market system works, politicians need to get out of the way and allow it to do its job. By crushing the free market system, Obama’s policies have crushed the economy.

Making coal and oil so expensive that green energy must be embraced. Anyone see the problem with that? I suppose it would only impact those enterprises that use or depend on energy. Since that’s all of them, this twisted logic wants us all to have less. Now that’s an economic policy.

Americans need to urge our elected officials to remove regulations on fracking and ask for their support for such an innovative, safe, economic game-changer.

Ah, the liberal. He feels he’s economically literate and fit to determine what the rest of us deserve. Unfortunately, his incorrect assumptions makes us poorer even while he feels righteous and feeling righteous is what the liberal Elite is all about.
